  • Looking to learn – seeking a good basics course

Posted by Dennis Dean on December 27, 2023 at 6:33 pm

About time I learn After Effects. Most of what I do has been easily done in Premiere.

Can anyone recommend a good starter course or source? Something that’s definitely for newbies.

    Thanks!

    YouTube has decent ones.

    From basic to specialized techniques.

But if you are brand new then try the ones on the Adobe site.

It at least gets to the tools specifically.

Thanks, Eric – I’ll start with Adobe. Otherwise the video might be telling me to start with a tool and I don’t even know what/where it is.

    Appreciate!

    Hey Dennis,

    Adding to the advice above:

After Effects in a Class Room is a good place to begin.

    Latest version arriveing mid-January.

Can be a bit tedious, but you’ll learn stuff + new stuff.

    Do not discount LinkedIN learning.
They (still) have excellent tutors, and as an added incentive, when you complate the self-paced-study, LinkedIN will with your permission add a certificate to your LinkedIN profile.
Depending on where you are at with LinkedIN, you can potentially get the first 30-days free, or you might be lucky enough to work for a company that has got enterprise access.
