2 options:
1.- Export your swf animation from MX as flash 5, Vegas can’t read higher than that. Import swf in your Vegas timeline ….
2.- Export your animation in MX as a PNG sequence movie, then import the generated PNGs on Vegas… just be aware of the size of your animation vs. your video size template ….good luck

..videoredo is excelent for combine or “join” multiple mpg files..altough I’m not sure if it’s compatible with Vista 64 …

Remember it’s all digital video… only 1 (ones) and 0 (zeros) in an elementary sequence that defines the recording … if another camera, no matter the size and specs can read those bits, it will be transfered to your system exactly the same as recorded … “capturing” digital video is more like “copying” bits from the tape to your HDD….

thank you so much for the comments….. considering that the small cam may be used as a “B” one maybe I’ll go for the new Canon HF11 because I’m not a big fan of Memory sticks and the Canon also has a Flash (32G) internal memory instead of Sony’s HDD (which also I don´t like it) for inmediate big recording times …the ring option is very nice but you can never have it all !!

Thank you John. But how do these cameras compare for example to miniDV (3CCD) for DVD production ? Have you used with adapters (wide) ? are these small cams worth their price ?

..unfortunately unchecking “enable HDV scene detection” doesn´t seem to work at least for me in Vegas 8.0c … seems to be a bug (always spliting clips) .. anyone have reported this ???

Terry: transparent PNGs are alpha on in Vegas by default…am I right ?… (at least all that I have prepared from photoshop or animation programs…) ….
