Hi guys, I’m new here so please be kind! I’m fairly new to Sony Vegas and VERY new to Flash MX but I’ve been viewing quite a few posts here and got some good pointers.

    Mu current problem is thus:

I’ve created a pretty simple falling snow animation in Flash MX (using code I found on the internet). I would like to use this as a menu background on a dvd I’m working on but am not sure how to get there. I typically use Sony Vegas 6 to render movies and burn the dvd’s with DVD Architect 3.

I’ve imported the swf into vegas but all I get is the single frame with no animation. I’ve also tried exporting from Flash MX directly to avi but get the same result. Is there a way to do this?

I really appreciate any help offered.

    Thanks!

    2 options:

1.- Export your swf animation from MX as flash 5, Vegas can’t read higher than that. Import swf in your Vegas timeline ….
2.- Export your animation in MX as a PNG sequence movie, then import the generated PNGs on Vegas… just be aware of the size of your animation vs. your video size template ….

    good luck

Hi Enrique, thanks for the reply. I tried both of your suggestions but I’m still just getting a single frame. I probably have something set up incorrectly and just need to play around until I find it. I found another post that said to create a png sequence it has to be set as a graphic rather than a movie clip and it should be set to loop…does that sound right? I tried that also but I’m still not getting it.

If you or anyone else can suggest some settings to check out, or if there is a tutorial somewhere that I can look at that would be great!

    Thanks again!

1.- On publish settings (flash MX) set to FLASH 5 and publish your animation.
2.- File – export – movie – PNG sequence …nothing here to worry about “graphic” or “movie clip” … just final export as movie – PNG sequence.

It must work on either way….

    good luck
