You place an order….you get an email response saying to call for verification…..you call in and they put you in a high pressure sales environment, try to sell you a gray market camera with additions for at least $6000…..you say ,no I just want the camera….they say it’s out of stock and your order is cancelled.

Also no insurance on the camera. Japanese menu’s.

Danger!!!! Buy from an auth dealer only…

I am not sure if you watched the demo for nucleo pro but with NP you can render and keep working at the same time. You can also assign # of processors to do certain tasks.You can tell it to render you timeline when you are idle or create faster previews. If you want you can also tell it to take over the machine completely and it will ride your processors like there is no tommorow.

I use dual dual amd opteron w/nucleo pro and cant imagine a workflow without it.

Depending on where you are based, currently there is the Adobe+Maxon(Cinema 4D) power integration tour. I went last thursday in DC and it was very informative with real life examples showing how to go from CD4 to AE8.

I agree, BH or Abel is the best bet. The prices do not vary BUT….

Do not buy from places like digitalLiquidators.com or similar companies that advertise it at %40 off the regular price. It’s a very well known scam and you will loose your money. For such companies check http://www.bbb.org first. You will see they are listed as deceptive sales practices.

I have had a lot of success using roxio creator 9 to break up material over multiple discs. I have a laptop with HD DVD and also records to regular DVD’s. I can take 50GB of info and throw it in to roxio and it will do all the work for me to break it up. It works as a good back up and archiving solution for now. I wouldn’t throw away the 16 Gb cards as I think they provide substantial advantage to record more material.

The only catch is if you go from a PC using roxio to a mac you need to tell it not to break up the data as macs will not be able to read the little attachment roxio put in the dvd’s in order to re-assemble the data. You loose a little space but roxio still breaks up the discs while preserving their integrity.

I was quite suprised to read lately in a HD magazine that heroes applied their FX more practical then CG. I am trying to remmember but I think it was HiDef magazine that covered it with behind the scenes photos of how they did the timefreeze effect when the character saves a little girl from being run over by a truck. With chroma green supports to hold her in place and all the other actors just acting frozen it was fairly low tech fx (no credit taken away from the compositor who had to paint out all the extra elements.) Quite clever….

You can create that effect by dropping keylight on your layer.(dont key anything) go to source crops, change x method and y method to repeat and then use the crop options.
