to me, it looks like they took 2 of the same photo cut the first 2/3 of the image and took the other 1/3 from the other image. Matched them up so it looks like one photo. Then stretched the smaller 1/3 photo until it looks like that. Just my best guess.

yeah… I made that example in photoshop… I know there’s an after effects effect that can create the same effect, but animatable… like the “mirror” effect….

they’re free, and i’m pretty sure that ‘smear’ will create a very similar effect.

I downloaded all of Petes Plugins but how do I bring them into AE???

You can create that effect by dropping keylight on your layer.(dont key anything) go to source crops, change x method and y method to repeat and then use the crop options.

Just another way, hope it helps
