    Hi Bill,

Try turning off Multiprocessing and doing the render again. With Multiprocessing disabled, you should be able to render without the the flickering.

    Hi Bill,

If you are using Multiprocessing, this could cause your texture maps to be lost during the multiprocessing render. To fix this, import your texture maps into After Effects first, then apply them as a Layer Map. Then, apply the Layer Maps onto materials, and apply the materials onto your objects. After applying the Layer Maps, you should be able to render the movies out without the flickering.

    Hi Bill,

Gradient Mesh is not supported in 3D Invigorator Pro. This is why the gradient mesh is not showing up when you try to import it into 3D Invigorator Pro. If you convert the Gradient Mesh shape into a normal vector path, you should be able to import it into 3D Invigorator Pro without any issues.

August 31, 2010 at 7:13 pm in reply to: sphere swinging around not spinning

    Hi Bill,

In 3D Invigorator, the pivot point in a Set is calculated by taking all the objects in the Set, and making the center point be the pivot point. This means, if you have other objects in the Set besides the 3D Sphere, this will cause the Sphere to not rotate in the center. By removing all objects in the Set containing the Sphere, it will cause the Sphere to spin properly.

If you want to move the Pivot Point in a Set, one easy way is to add a large object (bigger than everything combined) in the Set. The center of the large object will be Pivot Point of the Set. Then, make the large object invisible, and you should be able to rotate the Set properly.

    Hi Bill,

You will only be able to see your shadows once you do a test render (holding down the Ctrl/Cmd Key, then clicking the “OK” button), or if you click OK to see the ram preview in After Effects.

    Hi Bill,

Sure, to have the text cast a shadow onto the text, set up the light so that it is in front of the text and the basketball, and be sure the light has “Casts Shadows” applied. Then, when you do a test render (holding down the Ctrl/Cmd) key, you should be able to see the shadows.

August 30, 2010 at 10:45 pm in reply to: how do I create a background in ProAnimator?

    Hi Rich,

The reason the grid is not showing up when rendering is because those are Grid “guides”. So, all the Lower Third, Action Safe, and Title Safe Grids will not appear when you render. If you would like to add a floor or ceiling, it would be easiest to create a 3D Primitive, then change the Primitive to a “Plane” in the Object Tab. You can then position the plane to where you need the floor or ceiling will be. If you need grids on the surface, you can add an image of a grid as a texture map, and apply it on your Plane.

    Hi Bill,

The best way to do this is to switch to a top camera view because you’ll be able to see clearly where all the letters are positioned. Then, adjust the letters so that they are in a circular path around the sphere.

August 27, 2010 at 6:39 pm in reply to: spin

    Hi Bill,

It really depends on the amount of spins that you need. You could do the spin with just two keyframes, and just adjust the amount of Y-rotation that you need. Make sure the keyframes cover the amount of time you need for the spin. Then, increase the Y-rotation accordingly. For example, if you need 3 spins, add 1080 rotation, and so forth.

    Hi Bill,

We’re trying to get the new version out as soon as possible. We don’t have a set release date at the moment, but we are estimating that we will have the new versions out within the next couple months.

    Sorry for any inconveniences.

    Best,
    Edward
