    Hi Craig,

We’re definitely upgrading our After Effects plug-ins for After Effects CS5 and beyond. Unfortunately, the 64-bit conversion process has been taking a little longer than expected. We are looking at a few more months for the release of the After Effects CS5 plug-ins.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

February 15, 2011 at 8:46 pm in reply to: Import logo issue

    Hi Derek,

When using a brush stroke, be sure to go to the “Object > Path” menu, and select the command “Outline Stroke”. This should convert the brush stroke so you can get the general shape when you import the logo.

If you are still getting the spikes, go to the “Object/Object Controls” panel, and adjust the SpikeBuster controls. By increasing the values, this will trim the spikes that appear.

    Hi Geoffrey,

Whenever there’s an issue, please note when it crashes, and what was happening during the crash. This way we can track down the issue and resolve the problem for you. Can you provide some information as to where the crashes are occurring? For example, if you are working in the After Effects interface, or if you are in the ProAnimator interface, and if in the ProAnimator interface, what were you working on, or what controls were you using?

Any extra information would be helpful for us to reproduce the issues. Thanks.

    Best,
    Edward

    Hi Geoffrey,

Can you send me the model so I can try applying materials and see if I can replicate the issue? Please send the model to ed@zaxwerks.com

When applying a video to the model’s screen, you are correct that you can import a video into After Effects and set the video as a Layer Map, then apply the Layer Map to the screen.

    Hi Stephen,

I am referring to the “Objects” panel, where you can adjust the Depth, SpikeBuster, etc. Expand the controls for “Info”, and change the Hard Shading Angle.

    Hi Glynn,

Do you already own a license for the older version of 3D Invigorator, and is looking for the old download link? If so, please e-mail me at ed@zaxwerks.com and I will provide the authorization code for you.

If you’re looking to purchase the older version, we no longer sell the old version, but if you purchase the new version of the software, we can provide an older authorization code for you so you can still use the older version of 3D Invigorator.

    Hi Stephen,

Try going into the “Object” tab and going into the Info section, and change the “Hard Shading Angle” to “40”. If that value does not work well for you, you can try changing it to different values and seeing if it works better for you.

February 4, 2011 at 7:00 pm in reply to: Invigorator Pro for MAC

    Hi Johnny,

We’re aiming to have the After Effects CS5 compatible version for the Mac within the next couple months.

The conversion process has taken longer than expected. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you have After Effects CS3 or CS4, you can still use the new version of 3D Invigorator to use all the new features of the software while we are finishing up the conversion process.

January 12, 2011 at 11:08 pm in reply to: Multiple Text Objects at Once in Animator??

    Hi Susan,

Sure. You can create as many Text Objects as needed in ProAnimator. Each Text will be in a separate Object Track. Then, animate each Object Track, for the spins, fades, and so forth. This will set up the animations for all your text.

    Best,
    Edward
