Hi Susan,
If you want to animate lights, you will need to use the Comp Lights within After Effects. Then keyframe the lights to create the lighting animation.

Hi Dave,
It seems like a memory issue, but from the description of your project, it does not seem very complicated.
What are the system specs and the compressor settings you are using?
One other thing you can try is to reset your ProAnimator preference file. Do a search on “Zaxwerks ProAnimator Prefs” and “Zaxwerks PA Prefs” and delete the files if they exist.

Hi Mike,
To change the pivot point, select the object. Then, go into the Object Controls panel, and open the “Info” section. In the Pivot X,Y,Z fields, change the values to move the pivot point.

Hi Dave,
What error message are you getting?
One thing you can try is to change your QuickTime Player to Safe Mode. To do this, go to your Quicktime player. Select Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences. Go to the “Advanced” tab, and check the setting for “Safe Mode”. This may help with the rendering issue you are running into.
Hope this helps.

Try lowering the Intensity of the Ambient light, and all the other lights you have in your scene. This should darken your scene dramatically.
If you are still having issues, please send a scene to me at ed@zaxwerks.com
I’ll take a look at your scene file and see what you are running into.

Hi Jeff,
One more step you may have to do. The Illustrator grid is actually composed of individual lines and grouped together. This is why it is not importing correctly even when you use the Outline Stroke command. To fix this, ungroup the grid in Illustrator. Then, go into the Pathfinder panel, and select the “Unite” command. This will merge all the paths together, and you will have one solid shape. You should be able to save the file and import it into Invigorator without any issues.

Hi Craig,
We have just released 3D Invigorator version 5.0.4. The new version include many fixes and may resolve the issue you are running into.
Please download the software from our download page below:

If you are still having issues, please be specific about what you are doing that is causing the crash.

Hi Jeff,
If you are using a line with a thick stroke, you will need to select the lines, go to the “Object > Path > Outline Stroke” command. This will take the width of the line, and make an outline of the line.
If you are creating the grid from making one big rectangle with small rectangles within the big rectangle, you will have to select all the inner rectangles, then select the outer rectangle. Then, go to “Pathfinder” and select the “Minus Front/Subtract” command. This will take the inner rectangles, and punch holes in the outer rectangle.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Jim,
This may have to do with the size of the floor you are using. If your floor is much larger than it needs to be, you can try shrinking the floor to the minimal size that it can be.
Right, multiprocessing and the use of Nucleo Pro may cause the rendering to crash.

Hi Jonathan,
ProAnimator 5 has been released last week, so it is actually now available as an upgrade :).
Like the previous build of ProAnimator, it is compatible with After Effects as a plug-in, and also runs as a standalone application.
At the moment, we do not support Sony Vegas, but we may look into that path down the road. With ProAnimator 5, you can still render out the animation with an alpha channel, and import the animation into Sony Vegas.
Hope this helps.

Edward
