Looks like you may have pressed “S” and “Split” the video there. If that’s the case, Vegas Pro 18 has a “heal” function built in. Or an easy way is just to delete the event on the right and then expand the event on the left to fill the empty space. Then the split would be gone.

That’s a limit of the trial. The best solution would simply be to purchase VEGAS Pro 18 (and it’s NOT Sony – Magix purchased it over 6 years ago). For someone else to render it, you’d have to provide not only the project file but all of the source media and that could take quite a while to transfer.
And we upgraded from 13 to 18 at Church and the new version is working great. All depends on many factors including the hardware, drivers, ram, video card, etc…
If you want to render on her computer, you will need to install Vegas on her computer to do the rendering. You’d also need to copy all source and project files.
MiniDV will be DV-AVI. It will simply be copied from the tape bit for bit into a DV-AVI file. You don’t want it in any other format as that will be the highest quality and is very easy for Vegas to read/use.
