Instead of modifying the actual frame, I’d just create the arrow on a transparent background which could then be moved and rotated as desired. Using the text generated media should work fine as well. Using Pan/Crop, you could stretch the generated media so that the arrow was longer if that’s what you needed.

So you want to slow down the footage, add a counter, and then speed it back up??? Or do you want to just slow it down so that the project ends up being 4 hours long?
If it’s the first one, I wouldn’t slow it down and then speed it back up. Instead, I’d just add a counter that counts faster so that it goes through 4 hours in that one hour.
An easy way for you to change the speed of the footage is to hold down the CTRL key and resize the clip as desired. This is the same as going into the properties and changing the “Playback Rate”.

Take a look at Vol 1 #9 of my newsletters for full details on multiple ways to edit multi-cam footage. The script option is not available in the “Movie Studio” versions. Also, Vegas Pro 8 has multi-cam capabilities built-in.

What type of file are you trying to drop onto the timeline? If you don’t have the proper codec for the type of file you’re trying to use, it won’t work.

Vegas does not have a built-in means of going to flash. You’ll need to render from Vegas and then use some other program to convert that file to flash.

Sounds like there’s something at 53% it doesn’t like anymore. Could be any of several things that are happening.
First, I would check the .BAK file and see if that version works.
Then I would try moving all the media files, open the project ignoring missing media, and see if it opens that way. If it does, then start reattaching the media one piece at a time.
This is also a good time to mention creating a series of save files. For example, add a version number on the end of the file name and periodically up the number so you can always get back to a previous known working version. This is where my Auto Save custom command for Vegas Pro 8 comes in handy!
If you have none of the above, then the only remaining options would be to redo it or see if Sony can help.

I have found that when using DV going to DVD, using Vegas at it’s DEFAULT settings works quite well. Just capture using the defaults, edit using the defaults, render using a DVD Architect preset, and then master the DVD using the defaults and all should be fine.

Each image must be adjusted individually. Pan/Crop is separate per event.
