I don’t own either, but if you haven’t seen these I thought they might be helpful.
There’s a review of the all-internal port version of the 2322 at Barefeats.com. They seem to imply
that the 2322, which wasn’t shipping at the time of the review, will perform the same, but have some
    external ports. (and yes, it’s controller card/firmware RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, & 50)

Here are tests of the Sonnett:

If you’re using Photoshop CS or CS2 it does it for you. When you create a new image you get to choose a preset
for DV, DV wide, or D1, in either PAL or NTSC. It displays it correctly on your computer for design and does the stretching
for you, no guessing or remembering.

[Robin] “If you create titles in a graphics package you need to create them in one size and then squeeze them. The measurements depend on your tv system (ntsc, pal etc.) for uk SD Pal you create in 788 and then squeeze it to 768 (x576).”

No, sorry. It worked for me so I didn’t look any further for an answer. Did you do a search?
There are tons of posts about this. I’m just not sure if the answer is in all those posts.

  • Broacast Safe is the cheap, fast way out. It knocks everything down and unless you don’t have the patience
you should go clip by clip.

I’m back (I found it easier than I thought). Here the fix for the problem in v1, I think it’s
the same as the fix for v2.
    HTH,

In Finder, Go, Go to folder
    type /etc/
    view as icons
locate “hostconfig” and COMMAND click on file and drag to desktop.

    Sorry,
I don’t have the time right at the moment to find my file on my other computer that details
how to fix this, but if you type the exact term (the whole warning) into Google you’ll find tons of links to forums
that discuss it (with fixes I hope). It’s a common problem. I have a fix that worked for me.
There are a few different solutions. I’ll check back in a while, if you haven’t found the answer I’ll
    find my file.

Is the sequence marked as Anamorphic? What did you capture it as? You have Anamorphic options.

  • I live in a ski town in Vermont, but if I ever get to Dubai again, I’ve got to do that.
It would be really funny to bring my skis with me.

  • Only as a stopever. It’s become quite a hub.
BTW, we were supposed to be there for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers on May 22-26 to do some interviews.
We’re not going now, but if there’s an opportunity to get some interview footage, maybe we could talk.
Game footage is only for background, no actual game shooting. Are you still going to be there then?
We’ve been doing a film about Beach Soccer for a year, and we’ve been all over the world *except* the mid-east.
It would help to have that included.

  • Cool, how’s the weather? 🙂
