Travelling to Dubai…a quick question regarding voltage.
I am off to Dubai and am traveling with my io LD. Will the io plug straight in (with the proper plug adapter) and be able to handle the power over there?

Yes, no problem. Dubai is 220v 50hz, buy an adaptor plug and you’re all set.

Hot and humid. I thought it was dry in the desert!? 😉 Dubai is pretty nuts. Have you travelled here before?

Only as a stopever. It’s become quite a hub.
BTW, we were supposed to be there for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers on May 22-26 to do some interviews.
We’re not going now, but if there’s an opportunity to get some interview footage, maybe we could talk.
Game footage is only for background, no actual game shooting. Are you still going to be there then?
We’ve been doing a film about Beach Soccer for a year, and we’ve been all over the world *except* the mid-east.
It would help to have that included.

I live in a ski town in Vermont, but if I ever get to Dubai again, I’ve got to do that.
It would be really funny to bring my skis with me.
