The trial version does not support any form of MPEG compression, including MP3 audio files.

You will find links to many free tutorials in the PremiereProPedia that will quickly show you how things are done in Premiere Pro.

Hmm, that is indeed strange.

Can you reproduce the problem with another font? Perhaps the font you are using is not fully OpenType compatible.

If you need a work-around to get the project done then use something like Photoshop to create the titles as an image with a transparent background.

My guess is that you did not create a DV project.

Create a new DV project and import one of the captured clips and see if the problem remains.
