    Check your file system.

Right click on the drive in “my computer” and choose Properties. File system must be NTSF and not Fat 32. Convert if necessary…Search Windows Help for “Convert NTSF”.

I’m guessing you are capturing via a TV card or razzle/dazzle breakout box in the Mpeg format…not suitable for editing in CS3…either convert the video to DV type 2 or use Premiere Elements.

no the footage was captured via fire wire and a dv vcr the footage was dv 4;3 nothing special …

the pc is mac based vista bootacamp …

    THE ONLY SOLUTION I FOUND
was to instal the mac version of premiere … and everything came to be wright …
I thinking that teh fault is one the side of viste somewhere … but i dont know where ….

any ways thanks for feedback …

PS. the othere thing that I came on was that the Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme works better on PREMIERE ON OSX than on VISTA.
Ex. the files-paths from SONY EX1 are supported natively… I’ll post it on the blackmagic forum

THERE IS HOPE THAT EVERY THING WILL CONTINUE TO RUN OK

    Cheers …
