That depends on your project. Create your picture in Photoshop with the same resolution and PAR as your PPro project.

My only editing experience is with Premiere Pro, so I cannot say how well other editing software will perform on your current hardware.

It might be possible to download evaluation versions of other programs and test them.

Windows Movie Maker comes with the OS, so that would be a great test.

To see your driver settings look up “Device Manager” in the Windows Help for instructions. You will be able to check the driver version number that you see there with the version number of the driver obtainable from the manufacturer’s Web site.

Indeed, but the solution is quite simple.

Create a new project using PAL 1.422 and then import the other project into the new one.

You will see a bin in the Project Panel with the name of the imported project. Open that bin and you will see the clips and sequences. Double-click on a sequence to open it in the timeline panel.

It seems like there may be corruption in that sequence.

Try to import the project with the problem sequence into a new project then open the sequence and see if it behaves itself.

If that doesn’t work you can try to copy everything in the problem sequence and paste it into a new sequence.

Not if your destination format does not comply with the DV standard, which is very strict.

The “best” substitute in AME CS4 is to select “Microsoft AVI” which will then allow you to choose your preferred codec.

It sounds like you’re using the wrong pixel aspect ratio (PAR). For 1920×1080 your should be using a square (1.0) PAR.
