  • Pixelated slo-mo in CS4 exporting to DV AVI.

When I exported to “movie” in CS3 I had no issues with this but for some reason the slo mo is just noticeably pixelated when exporting to DV AVI in CS4. I used deep bitrate and that helped…exporting in 4:3 helped (maybe it likes to put it’s own bars there) but it’s still not as nice as CS3.

Is DV AVI the best substitute for the old CS3 “movie” export?

Fortunately I don’t anticipate ever editing in DV again so this will not be an issue in the future.

    Thanks.

Not if your destination format does not comply with the DV standard, which is very strict.

The “best” substitute in AME CS4 is to select “Microsoft AVI” which will then allow you to choose your preferred codec.
