    Dear sir ;
    My Computer with 250GB HDD / 3.00GHz Pentium D processor / Dual Channel 2GB 667MHz RAM / Intel D 945GNT Mainboard.

    And also installed Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and i have some problems with playback.

    When we have many layers of audio/Video , there we cant play real time in time line. Also when we import HD footage ; i have same problem.

    when playback in timeline, audio rendered perfectly real time. bur video preview has some delays. video is jagged and not realtime playback. How can i play realtime in timeline.

    I am not installed any games or other harmful softwares in my machine. and i have enough free disk space in my system drive. I defragmented my HDD any time. plese help me to resolve this problem . . . .

    Unfortunately you are asking too much of your computer. It is too slow to be able to handle in real-time the number of layers that you are using.

    Rendering is your first option. A new, faster computer is your second option.

    You’re welcome.

    My only editing experience is with Premiere Pro, so I cannot say how well other editing software will perform on your current hardware.

    It might be possible to download evaluation versions of other programs and test them.

    Did rendering not help?

    Cheers

    For Standard Definition (SD) stick with DV for a good editing experience.

    For High Definition (HD) you can try HDV, it will be less taxing on your hardware than most other HD formats.

    See this page for hardware recommendations.

    I strongly urge you to watch these free tutorials, they will quickly show you how things are done in Premiere Pro.
