Vegas isn’t offering you a controllabl option. You’ll likely note that Sony files are slightly larger than MC, but you’ll also likely note the MC is slightly better in quality.

Any time you render, you lose quality. If it’s MTS, you run a risk of losing a lot of quality. My recommendation is to render to .mxf for best balance between quality loss and bitrate.

You’re confusing PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) with SAR (Screen Aspect Ratio)

They don’t provide all the templates, because it’s not their obligation to support 720p, even tho it’s part of the spec. If you want the templates, build em’. DVDA won’t work with them.
Try building 720p in Premiere and bringing it into Vegas or Encore.
It won’t happen.BTW, your list includes 1280 x 720″i”. There is no such animal. You can easily render a 720p AVC, I do it daily. And it’ll play on a BD player. But it won’t burn in DVDA.

Architect has exactly this feature.
Right click the menu or CTRL+L to insert a picture compilation (same as a slide show)

It means you’re not using a compatible codec-video.
What is the codec used to encode the video?
