Why not just copy the movie layer or comp on the top and add a mask to the this layer which hides everything except the pixels at one side of the dead pixel (lets say 2 pixel on the right of the dead pixel) and then move this layer so it hides the dead pixel (in this case 2 pixel to left side)
sorry my english isnt that good. If you didnt understand it, just say so and I’ll try it a second time.

How about re-installing After Effects? I never had such an error.
Does it happen no matter what you are working on in AE or just on special effects or comps? Perhaps try using adaptive resolution or in this cae perhaps OpenGL?
just my 2 centss

Rule 2 is definetaly the most important one since I’m saying it also all the time to my friends when they don’t know how to handle their ideas and how to solve them….
Can’ wait for the next ones!

Yeah, I would say this can be done in AE. And for the water and the sky I would use the great Plugins by digital-anarchy like Psunami…

Quote: “In AfterEffects, created a composition as PAL D1/DV Widescreen Square Pixel(1024×576)..”
I’m no pro (I dont even know what 10bit is) but my feeling says you should try it with an anamorphic Project in AE instead of a square pixel project. This problems you describe can appear when square is mixed with anamorph pixels…

Yeah I would agree on this one.
They used some 3D apps and shot the woman at this pose with dfferent cameras from different angles. Then mapped the Images to a rough 3D figure.
The rest would be just importing the 3D figure to AE and animate the camera to “explore” the body…Much work, but doable…

Actually yes. I use Quicktime 7 Pro to convert my lossless avi files to every other format, because QT is really fast and easy to use on this.
Just open the Avi file with you Quicktime Pro 7 and choose file–>export.
I really got better results then just exporting to DV Avi using AE.

I made the experience that exporting in lossless avi format and then compress this avi file to DV PAL gave better results then just exporting to DV Pal…. especially when using graphics or Text in AE….
just my 2 cents…

Hmm I’m no pro but I would try this:
– type the text in Illustrator and copy it as a mask to the video you want to use as the text fill
or
– try to copy the text into the video using the paths as masks…
Just my 2 cents
