    Hi,

There are many options to convert text in the market right now, but I believe it is very hard to transcribe 100% correctly. There are many accents and speaking styles. Using AI to do some of the work and doing the rest manually seems like the way to go. Final Cut Pro now supports the English language to transcribe audio inside the software. However, I am sure it will be tough to transcribe a German person speaking English.

    Hi Melvin,

Yes, you can mask in Final Cut Pro. There is the manual method: you can use the draw mask effect and keyframe it. Now, with the latest update to Final Cut Pro, you may try the Magnetic Mask option. If that works well, it will be very easy and quick. These are free options. Of course, there are some paid plug-ins if these two do not work.

  • It’s great to hear that helped. Always a pleasure to help. My best.

  • When you right-click or control-click a sequence in the bin you can access it through Settings and Timeline Options as far as I remember. It should also be under the Sequence Menu in the bar when a timeline is active.

  • Oh my, there are still people who use my beloved FCP7. I went to FCPX immediately when it was published, and after one year, I never used FCP7 again. It was my favorite editing software, but it is FCPX now. For your question, as far as I remember, there is an image scaling section in project settings where you set it as fit, normal, untouched, or something like that. You may want to check there and try copying again.

    I hope it works.

  • Hi,

Yes unfortunately this is one of the bugs. What is your version of Premiere Pro maybe it is solved with the latest version, I will try it as soon as I can with the latest version and tell you here. This was also a similar case with Final Cut Pro before and now they have managed to fix it, I hope Premiere can fix it, too.

    Hi,

For starters and for free, you can try the built-in Noise Reduction in Final Cut Pro. It’s in the Basics section of Filters. It probably won’t be a good enough solution. Neat Video is another good solution I used before; I was always happy with the result. You may try other recommendations in trial periods and choose one.

No Pro video codecs update is not only about FCPX. It is mostly a support at Mac Os level. You can update it and you don’t have to update FCP. Your old FCP version will work without problems if you update it or not.

Of course, it could be different depending on the software but we are talking about Final Cut Pro right now.
