  • As you are on Sonoma you can use AFPS, the latest option. HFS+ is ok too.

Well, it’s, not all automatic, but the fastest without any extra plugins or software. You can transcribe the text, filter all pauses, and delete them all in one go.

You can select your video on the timeline, right-click, and choose Scene Edit Detection to cut it automatically on edit points.

  • Hi,

You may try using the disk utility First Aid to check the drives and the system. As Kirk asked the external drive may be formatted wrong. Of course, you can work even if it is formatted as EX-FAT but it is better to format it in a Mac-compliant format like Mac Os Extended or APFS. Also, could there be a problem with the hardware of the external drive case?

    Hi,

It looks like a low-resolution encoding issue. When you select the 720 P, what encoding rate do you choose? Even with 720p, you shouldn’t go under 10Mbps, and the CBR option so encodes every frame constantly at 10Mbps.

    Hi,

After your eyes get used to 4K, even 1080 looks terrible. Especially with some heavy effects and noisy videos, it gets worse. I don’t know how you did but at least it should be around 30MBps and CBR option selected for encoding for H.264. Vimeo and youtube will convert it again to optimize so it is always best to export as high as possible. Prores 422 is another option to try if more space isn’t a problem.

Hi, I am not sure if I understood correctly. Are all these audio segments and video part of a multicam-style recording? So can you try to make a multicam by selecting these segments in the bin?

Hi, To my knowledge, it isn’t possible. You can set your second display to show the viewer if it is a computer display connected to your Mac with HDMI or DCI, and you can see bigger in full screen.

Most SSDs are pretty fast these days. They have a speed of more than 2000MB per second which is enough almost for any work you need. What is better than an SSD, is SSD RAID, a bunch of SSDs working together as one. You can check OWC, Sandisk, and Glyph for these raids.

Each has its pros and cons. After several tests, I think everybody finds the best one for himself.
