After you paste them onto your timeline they should be at the top of your videos so you can see them. Can you send a screenshot to understand what is going on?

    Hi,

I didn’t use it but as far as I can see when you install it, it gives you an option to open it inside FCPX so it is automatically installed in export destinations. I don’t know maybe a restart will fix it.

    This tutorial may help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3wUaXb3DlQ

Ahh yes, this is about proxy files. If you created proxy files outside Final Cut Pro it may cause this problem. Probably the audio channels of the original video files and proxy files don’t match. If you import these 13 original video files into FCP and make a proxy inside FCP all will be good. You can select these 13 clips in the browser and right-click on them choose transcode and choose the proxy option. It will create the correct proxy files.

    Hi,

First, you said 1080 by 720, could it be 1280 by 720 which is HD resolution? Normally you can work with all sizes of video in FCP, it is not compulsory to have all clips in the same resolution. Can you upload a screenshot of the error to identify better, because this is not a normal behaviour you are mentioning.

That’s great. Exporting only audio is an excellent method. 🙏

    Hi,

I think the problem is that Premiere Pro doesn’t support AC3 audio codec anymore due to high licensing fees. And as MTS recording cameras aren’t very recent, there will be no support for it. One way to fix this is, not a short one, sorry, using the Media Encoder to convert these MTS files to mov before importing them into Premiere Pro.

    Hi,

To be honest I don’t know how effective and I guess it changes from recording to recording because of the sound conditions but there are some Vocal isolation AI software, and websites claiming that they can separate vocals from music. You could give it a try to see if it helps.

    Hi,

The last macOS version in which FCP 7 worked was Sierra, 10.12.

It is better to get an old Mac and work on it than using some software/virtual machine to run old macOs.

Just a guess here, even if it is a language Premiere Pro doesn’t understand; you need to identify audio gaps, so it should be able to identify the gaps no matter what language it is. You should give it a chance to try.

If that does not work there are paid options, like gling.ai, timebolt.io, autocut etc.
