What are you using for media drives?

It really depends on the shirt… so it may be unlikely this will help, but you could try to de-interlace the footage. You’ll be throwing away half your resolution, though. If it works, it becomes a lesser of two evils thing.

Also, once, and only once, I was able to dramatically reduce a moire by strobing the footage. Again, it really depends on the shirt.

    David–

Are you evaluating this quality on the computer monitor or an external video monitor?

The canvas gives you about 1/4 resolution. The real resolution will be on the external monitor.

If you don’t have an external monitor, connect one up. Even a TV will do in a pinch.

If you have an external monitor, try looking at the Render & Playback Settings and make sure they are all set to highest quality. They’re in User or System Preferences. I’m rendering and can’t get to them now.

Post back if that doesn’t help!

Try breaking the nest’s relationship to the old information by dragging the opacity level down to 0% and back up again and see it that updates the nest for you.

Do this either in the motion tab, or if you work with timeline overlays, grab the black bar and drag it down and back up again.

    Simmie-

That just seems so odd. It would be a huge oversight on Apple’s part if QT 7.04 wipes out the QT 7 Pro key.

I’d be calling Apple with Final Cut Studio serial number in hand and ask how to solve this problem.

You could do a find/replace in the text document and replace all the hard returns with a soft return.

I’m not sure how to do that in Word, but it works in AppleWorks. You likely will have to “show invisibles” and copy one from the document and paste it into the find/replace window. Ditto on the soft return. Type one in somewhere appropriate, and then copy it.

That’s the way to do it, Julie.

  • Most of that stuff will take up about 40GB. It’s really up to you. If you plan on using the 2nd drive for media, if it were me, I’d want to keep as much of that second drive open for media. Media drives tend to get a heavier workout than other drives, so they can fail sooner. If you lose a media drive with all your app media on it, then you have to reinstall all that stuff too. That’s a real pain.

If you have external storage and don’t plan on using that drive for media, then if it were me, I’d spread out the media on to that second internal.
