    Peter,

is it possible you could send me your email address
    to davidm1384@aol.com?
I met you years (and years and years), ago…

    All the best,

    Will,

Next thing you know David will probably pull up outside your house
and come in and fix everything. (joke not a slam)

    David,
I continue to be amazed and impressed with your willingness to help.
I include myself in the long list of people who have benefited.

    Boogie,

You are so right. There are many things I miss about
my Media 100 system and that is definately one of them.
(another is reading your posts on the M100 board,
    some of those were historic)

It astounds me that a program with as much depth as
FCS can have such startling lapses.
I love the program but why not make changes that
    improve the basics?

It’s easy to criticize of course, but improvements like
this should not have to fall on deaf ears.

    All the best

    David

  • Hi Dennis,

That is pretty cool, no pun intended.
Seriously any information that will help recover
material from a failed drive is valuable.

Watch now; there will be a big discussion about
which are the best freezers to buy.
(I’ve been up too long editing, sorry, bad joke).

    All the best

    David

  • Thank you Jamie,

That is a permanent post-it now
on the side of my monitor.
    Perhaps most know about it
but if you are new to this tip – like me,
    it’s a winner.

    David

Although at first I freaked supposing I had inadvertently
hit the wrong button, something that, in the course of a day,
I have been known to do,
I now feel comfortable in attributing the loss to sun spots
as at the moment I called for the beloved scopes,
    I was uncharacteristically conscious.

    Have a splendid New Year.

    David, thanks…

I did that and the scopes were there.
    I wonder that THAT was…

Thank you and Happy New Year.

(I can’t believe how many times I have seen
you come up with a fast solution on this forum btw)

Yeah David, that’s agreed if it is a scripted story.
I shoot documentarys and in that realm, I don’t think that axiom
    applies.
As you well know, the story isn’t found until the editing in many cases.

    All the best,

    David (too)

A big YES on optical flow in Motion Chris.
I have had some plesent surprises using optical flow.
It has to be judicious of course, but it’s about as
good as it gets for slowing down footage with FCS in post.

    All the best,

    David

  • Chris,

    I’d love to use Color,
but that’s a whole other learning curve
on top of trying to edit this documentary.
Right now it seems over my capability.
