Alright… then I’ll blame Adobe to not looking close enough om it’s 3rd-party-partners.
Does it mean that all CC-effects are only single-threaded?

    Cheers, David

… please excuse my lacky english …

You college will have to use MPEG Streamclip to convert m2t-material into HDV that FinalCut Pro can read.

Hey Andrew, thank you very much!
    My setting were:

    – Shutter Angle 180
    – Shutter Phase 6
    – Sample per frame 16
    – Adaptive sample limit 0

Where the hell ever these settings came from; I definately know that I didn’t change anything them by hand.

Anyway, thanks again for the hints!

    Hi, thank you!
I can’t seem to export *.mxf, how can I solve that with Quicktime or Compressor?
Further, I suppose that he can’t or isn’t willing to download any codecs which aren’t preinstalled on his PC or come with the VEGAS installation, so any ProRez-codec would not be possible.
    It’s a real pity.

    Hi, thanks for this hint!
Which JPEG-Compression exactly? “Motion JPEG A”, “Motion JPEG B”, “JPEG 2000” or “Foto-JPEG”?
The editor doesn’t have this plugin; we sent him the DVCPRO-material already and he wasn’t able to open it …

    Thank you for these links!
Always the same: some say it’s working all fine, some are pissed …
I’m gonna try it by myself using the Combo-Update for the mac, and then I’ll report here, what had happened 🙂

Thanks again for this interesting discussion!

  • Hi Christoph,

everything alright, thank you very much for your quick reaction!

For all others, to put things right:
My reply to the registration email seemed got flagged as spam, so Christoph did nothing wrong at all, because he didn’t recieve these emails.
I wrote him from the contact form on his website, and he replied immediately.

So everything is okay, the job is safe … thanks again at Christoph!

    Yours, David

I do indeed want to upgrade; this version fixes several security issues.
But having this great 7.5.3 (?) in mind which caused After Effects to stop rendering after 10 Minutes (or was it seconds?), I just wanted to be very, very sure. 🙂
