Bought “CHV Morphing FX” and still got no licence key … very urgent!
Posted by David Gudelius on September 11, 2008 at 2:13 pmHi,
we bought “CHV Morphing FX” three days ago (download version), paid with Mastercard, received an email, replied to it yesterday and still got no final licence key.
Does anyone here bought it also, and how fast did you recieve your licence key? We mailed at CHV yesterday, today, and we didn’t get an answer.
The deadline for the job where we need this plugin is coming closer and closer … 🙁
What do you think? Do you have any similar experiences with CHV?
In worst case we do need an analogical solution for morphing; either for FCP, Motion or After Effects CS3.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you very much in advance!!

September 11, 2008 at 3:50 pmSorry to say that I’ve had the same experience with CHV in the past ie somewhat less than instant delivery of serials following purchase. Good filters but not recommend as an impulse buy for a pressing need.

September 11, 2008 at 6:46 pmHi David,
When and under which name did you place your order ? Did you place your order through PayPal or Kagi ?I don’t see an order from you anywhere. Did I miss something ?
I always respond to orders asap. Sometimes it can take a few hours when it is nighttime or I am traveling.

September 11, 2008 at 7:10 pmHi Christoph,
everything alright, thank you very much for your quick reaction!
For all others, to put things right:
My reply to the registration email seemed got flagged as spam, so Christoph did nothing wrong at all, because he didn’t recieve these emails.
I wrote him from the contact form on his website, and he replied immediately. So everything is okay, the job is safe … thanks again at Christoph!
Yours, David

September 11, 2008 at 8:33 pmDavid,
the whole thing was a little confusing (without anybodies intention). I got the order and sent a request for the MAC address from the original customer. The reply with the MAC address got stuck in a spam filter (as I assume). Then you go to this discussion board, hoping that I see your message. (Note: I read this board, but not necessarily every day, so I did not see your message right away.) Your message from the board got forwarded by Steve Eisen as a PM to me at Ken Stone’s discussion board (Thanks Steve!!). So I thought “Did David buy something ? Did Steve buy something ? Did PayPal screw up and I got no confirmation email ? (…which happens from time to time) What’s going on ?”.
The original order came from a different name and email address, so I did not see the connection. In the meantime I got another message from the original customers email and I replied and sent the ordered keyfile.
It’s just one of those days. 🙂
That’s the reason why I don’t automate the whole order process. There are just too many things that can go wrong. Mix-up of Email addresses, outdated email addresses registered at PayPal (or Kagi), email accounts that are just full and I can’t send anything to the customer. Then there are spam and virus filters… Oh, well.
🙂
Back to XCode to write more software… (Btw: Any requests ?)

September 12, 2008 at 10:13 amChristoph has always replied to my email questions remarkably promptly – on weekends too, when I didn’t expect a quick reply.
I own and have had good experience with his Repair package and his Titles package. Cheap and good.

September 18, 2009 at 6:18 amI really do want to stick up for Christopher on this issue. I’ve purchased his titles plugin and the repair package and, since I only do titles once a year, I have usually forgotten how to work his plug in so I email him.
He is always unfailingly courteous and I have been fortunate to have received “same hour” replies from him, despite the fact that I believe he is on the other side of the planet.
He’s one of the good guys.
Plus he’s an indie.
Has anyone managed to get a same-hour response from Apple or from G-Tech or from ….?
Harry.
