Eric, I’m curious what configuration of AVISnyth do you use to get Alchemist results?

Thanks for the reply Juan. I wish it were mismatched settings. It’s now happening at random in single timeline projects where Resolve automagically scales full 1080 down to 720 out SDI.
Here’s the issue: https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3606

I’m having a very similar issue. But it seems project specific for me. Did you get a resolution?

Thanks. The 25p is artificially created–not in the camera.

What technique do you use to take a 1080 25P (not PSF) sequence to 23.98?

Thanks, Nick. I’d heard of Sebsky’s tools before & I’ll try this as part of my workflow & see what I come up against. We’re logging in FCP as currently these are our resident HD systems & have a technique that compresses it adequately at full raster. The producer doesn’t want to downconvert or NTSC the material and I don’t blame him. Trying to avoid the resolution-dependent dedicated approach of Avid & don’t want to invest in an HD one right now.
We are also planning the finish in FCP with a 24 DPX sequence for filmout. The Avid in the middle is the only hiccup. Done the whole thing in FCP with FinalTouch several times.
