Some people don’t read all the forums. I don’t think it’s offensive to publish on different sites, databases, for the benefit of that particular knowledgebase. Here, some Avid people won’t go to the FCP side either.

    Thanks for your advice though.

That’s a bummer. Did you ever get rectification for this?

100mb/sec to an Ipod? Ipods can handle that data rate over firewire?

Any resolution to this issue? Is it only on 720p material?

The performance hit on journaled drive is so infintesmal that for the benefits of protection, its smart to leave it on even for media drives.

Thanks Michael, this is exactly what I’m talking about! There was someone else here on the boards who said similar things; FCP broadcast safe and the like may not catch everything, especially because of the way it measures the signal. Perhaps it didn’t catch your analog source material because it wasn’t digitally originated to begin with..

Professional facilities seem to have legalizers at the end of their SDI pipe before it goes to a deck. We’re looking at the UKs legaleyes product because it does both HD and SD, like others Leader, etc.

The scope / legalizer combo is what we’re after.

    thanks

I haven’t experienced that, but I have had difficulty getting the card to lock onto the deck @ 23.98, even w/ a tri-sync gen. When does the jittery picture happen? Can you be more specific?
