I actually got it figured out, I had cylindrical wrap on my material and I was seeing the seem.
I took a picture of the bottom of the highlighter and then used illustrator to pen around. Then brought it in and lofted it. I’m curious of a better wayt?

  • Awesome thanks!

Found a work-around and am in a net render currently.

I understand this, but the object I would like to rotate around is not at 000.
For instance I can link and unlink an object in After Effects and it doesn’t affect previous movement, no matter where the null is.

I’m wondering if there is a work around.

If you are just modelling, the base is fine, but If possible I would just spring for Studio. Mograph module is where all the awesomeness is.

Yes, it is very easy, they can even be animated with an MOV. File.

Create a design in illustrator or photoshop with transparency (make sure the bgd layer is off) and save the psd file or png. Then import it in your sphere’s material under alpha channel.

    It’s that easy.

you can also use this same idea with an MOV file creating an animation in AE and rendering out an animation sequence with Alpha and RGB.

Sorry the screen shots didn’t explain it well!
Thanks, that did the trick! Best quality is apparently not always best.

Open GL was turned off somehow. I recently used a template and liked their layout and saved it. That must have been how it got switched. Thanks though!

Nice. I had put it to bed after a long day. I’ll try it on Monday. Thx!

That’s really a shame. I’m submitting a request at adobe for their next update.

  • It was much easier than I thought. I just pasted the data on the x axis of the object I was animating.

But for future reference, can time tracks be referenced in Expresso?
