Is there any way around the fact the adding a animated object to a parent null is moving former locations of the animated object.

I’m have a character, and want him to rotate around an object once he flies to its location.

Set the parent null’s location to 0,0,0.

Found a work-around and am in a net render currently.

I understand this, but the object I would like to rotate around is not at 000.
For instance I can link and unlink an object in After Effects and it doesn’t affect previous movement, no matter where the null is.

I’m wondering if there is a work around.

I would recommend a constraint tag (in the character tags) with a parent constraint. You can parent your object to a null with offset — so it doesn’t jump.
