I’m another one of those plants. I was accused of this on my blog. Why? Just because I chose to embrace, learn and share over screaming and yelling on an Internet forum.
The more I use it, the deeper it gets. Then when I am playing back the timeline and quickly adding an audio fade to a bit of audio I say, “hey, I’m putting an audio fade on while playback is happening, cool”
It frees you to work if you take the tome spend a couple of dollars on training and understand it.
The software, like anything or anyone else, is not perfect.
When I see people copy pasting this thread to make a joke of another user, I find that very disturbing. You don’t like apple, take it up with them but shittingbon people for using the software and sharing a positive experience is in bad taste and very amature.

I just noticed that on my machine the “points” in the eight point matte do not show up. In the 4 point matte the radio buttons are there, but in this eight point matte they are not.

I think a browsable downloads area would be good that users can upload to through their account into a searchable category.
IE:
UPLOAD TO: FCP X PLUGIN
UPLOAD TO: MOTION FX
UPLOAD TO: AE

I know. I’ve changed the sig file. That last one was just a reminder that there are few universal truths.
I look up top there and I feel like there is a lot of talent and some great minds.
I like the feedback.
Peace kids.
This forum is going to be fun.

July 8, 2011 at 5:02 pm in reply to: What’s the point of compound clips in events?Maybe another way to think of it is as a nested sequence. I see compound clips as nested sequences. More than anything I use them to be tidy or to give sections specific names.

My suggestion would be to build this as a motion template and make it available in FCP. You can build it very efficiently in motion and have it at your disposal all the time in FCP.
I’m not sure people have quite realized how much potential there is with the motion FCP x combo.

Thanks for pointing this out.
It’s very helpful to know this. Versioning can be so much more painful. I love the positive vibe of this forum. It’s like we are in a big open source web classroom together.
Thanks for sharing.
