What? Speak English please. Reread your sentence and then try reposting with the error message.

Are the DAZ files on the same computer as the one you’re using Vegas on? If not, you might not have the same codecs across all the machines.
Mov files can have alpha channels. With Daz though, am not sure how to do that.

October 24, 2011 at 7:14 am in reply to: Starting a project in SVP10 and finishing it in SVP11?Have you tried saving a separate copy of the project and then working on it?
That is, open it in SVP 10, then do a “save as” and save a copy of it.
Then open it SVP 11 and immediately save it before making any changes. What happens then?
If that works ok, then make a few edits and see what happens in SVP11. If it crashes, try the same edits in SVP10 and see if SVP10 crashes.
That will definitely help to narrow it down as to whether it’s something you’re doing or whether there is an issue with SVP 11 vs 10.

September 28, 2011 at 11:37 am in reply to: Repeated Q: Laptop for Video & Photo editingYeah, Dell bought out Alienware and has improved it.
You can buy Alienware machines directly from Dell’s website.
There are places too which allow you to buy and customize Alienware machines. One such place which is good (and also ships internationally) is https://www.hidevolution.com
Good luck!

September 28, 2011 at 2:34 am in reply to: Sony Vegas Pro 9 set up and computer systemHIya,
I don’t know the answers to all your questions, but with your pre-rendered video issue — if you go to external drives and those drive letters change (plugging in from one machine to the next), that’s one possible reason why Vegas always needs to “find” those files.
I had that issue, and solved it by just rendering out the movies as mpeg 2, and then using them directly in DVD architect Pro as opposed to using Vegas projects.
Hope that helps.

When you say “nothing” what do you mean nothing? Obviously your computer at least boots and loads windows? So that works. Can you be a bit more specific please?

Do you have “snapping” enabled? If so, disable it and it will allow you to move clips a little bit at a time in the timeline.
That should allow you to line up things perfectly. Make sure to zoom in to the timeline if you have to.

How did you solve it? From the post? Or was it something else? If something else, please let us know what you did — knowledge sharing. 🙂
