Can’t load avi. files into vegas???

Are the DAZ files on the same computer as the one you’re using Vegas on? If not, you might not have the same codecs across all the machines.

Mov files can have alpha channels. With Daz though, am not sure how to do that.

Yes they are on the same computer,I have k-lite codec pack installed.

Should I find another codec pack? if that the case, witch one???

Get rid of the k-lite codec pack immediately!!
Installing any codec pack is the worst thing you can do as it can replace your known good codecs with inferior ones without your knowledge.
This forum is full of horror stories of users who have had to rebuild their systems because they installed it and it corrupted their system.
Find out which codec is required and install only that codec from a reputable source.
Run the DAZ file through GSpot or MediaInfo (both are free) and let us know what it says about a required codec.
With any luck, your Vegas installation will still be intact and all your good codecs will still work.

DAZ Studio was using the Cinepak codec when it made your movie.
That’s a very old codec that is rarely used any more.
If I was you, I’d go back to my DAZ project and see if I had any other codec choices for rendering the movie.
My guess is that you do but I don’t use the program so I can’t tell you which one to use.

Can’t seem to find a way to change the codec,but I have deleted the K-lit codec.
Is there some specifik codec’s that i should find insted? And where do I find it?

I can’t find anything on a version of Cinepak that will work with Windows 7.
GO through your manual or try the user forum for your software as there’s (almost) always a way to do this, even if it’s uncompressed AVI.

Allan, sorry for the misunderstanding.
The codecs that come with Vegas will usually take care of all of your needs.
On the rare occasion (for example, trying to import an oddball file), determine which one you need (as you did earlier) and download it, preferably from the manufacturer as opposed to installing a codec pack for the reasons I outlined earlier in this thread.
