Why aren’t all my fonts available?

I am brand mew to Sony Vegas (I have Movie Studio HD Plantinum 11) and am having a bit of a problem with fonts. If I right click on the Text Line and then choose “Insert Text Media”, when I go to edit that text not all of the fonts I have loaded on my laptop are available. However if choose “Insert Generated Media” and choose either “(Legacy) Text)” or “Credit Roll” then all fonts are availabe. If choose “Sony Titles and Text” then they are not.
Does anyone know why this would be?

This happened to me a while ago and it turned out it was fonts that weren’t correct TTF.
When I removed those the issue went away.
Those fonts you’re having trouble with — if you have another program like Photoshop try loading them up in an image there and see what happens. What I did to discover which fonts were bad is used the down-cursor to scroll through the fonts. When it would no longer change that font was a trouble-maker and zapped from my system.

It was as you said. I re-downloaded and loaded some of my missing fonts from a different source and was then able to access them in all functions of Vegas. Thanks again.
