How are you connecting that LaCie 500gb USB 3 to your Mac? There is no native usb3 on that Mac so it will default to USB 2 which is a bit slow for your needs.

Hi,
You probably have scale to frame size selected in preferences. You can right click the clip in the sequence and deselect that option on an individual basis or alter the preference altogether.

Hi,
I’m not sure about plugins, that’s not an area of expertise for me. You could put markers down and use keystroke Automator to move to next marker but I’m not sure how you would tell it how long to play until it moves to the next one. At this stage it might be easier to build an edit old fashioned way 🙂

Hi,
Best way to do this is to use a keystroke Automator with macros.
You can set it to press a certain key, in your case down arrow to move to next edit, then space, then wait 10 seconds until repeat action. If you are in apple osx you can use Automator, in windows try a google search, there are loads of these to choose from

Hi,

10.8.2 is the latest Operating System from apple, Mountain Lion, seeing that you have the latest in hardware technology ie retina macbook pro, I would try to match it with the latest software also. Retina screen technology is very new technology and for it to function properly you will require latest software.

Hi Jason,
Sorry for misunderstanding, thought you wanted to merge loads of clips at once.
Not sure about the sample rate, I’m on cs6 and it merges to all kinds of audio even mp3. Maybe try to convert one audio clip in audition and see what happens.

Hi Jason,
You cannot merge multiple clips at once. They have to be done individually, ie one video to whatever amounts of audio. Tedious so best to assign a key command. The audio will travel properly to audition for post later.

Hi.
Check out dual eyes. This will replace the audio in your video file with the dual system sound, and it does this outside of premiere. If all goes well premiere should be none the wiser when you open it up after and it should have the good audio in place of the camera sound.
As you alrady started the edit I would strongly
recommend backing up your clips first and doing a test on a few files just in case premiere doesn’t relink properly.
