What’s the Best Work For for Manually Syncing Several Clips/Scenes in a Movie?
I have half of a movie edited and have the bad audio (internal from the camera) in the edited footage. I planned on using Plural Eyes to replace the bad audio with the good audio (from the boom mic.) but, I cannot get Plural Eyes to work. So now I am stuck with manually replacing the bad audio in the edited sequences and have been manually syncing/replacing it clip by clip – but that’s major pain and I am looking for a better work flow.
If I have a video clip in a sequence and I use the same footage for other clips in the same sequence, I would like to sync the footage one time, for every clip where the footage is used in that particular sequence.
Example
Clip 1
Video Footage A
Actor says “Hello”Clip 2
Next clip
(reverse shot) Video Footage B
Actress says “Hi”Clip 3
Back to Video Footage A
Actor says “How have you been?”I just want to sync the footage one time everywhere Footage A is used in the sequence. Rather than sync it for clip 1 and then again for clip 3, etc.
Of course, I would still have to do a sync for Footage B.
I cannot just pull Video footage A down into a separate track, extend it for the entire sequence, sync and replace the audio, and then cut it in the same points as in the edited track above, because it won’t match up (the length of the Video A footage is not the same length as the of the sequence).
I have tried working with the Merge Option but so far have only be able to use it to replace audio on a clip by clip basis, rather than making one replacement for every clip using the same audio footage in the particular sequence.
There’s got to be a better way. Any suggested workflow would greatly help.

Hi.
Check out dual eyes. This will replace the audio in your video file with the dual system sound, and it does this outside of premiere. If all goes well premiere should be none the wiser when you open it up after and it should have the good audio in place of the camera sound.
As you alrady started the edit I would strongly
recommend backing up your clips first and doing a test on a few files just in case premiere doesn’t relink properly.
