Jake can come off a little brash to say it nicely. Not sure why he feels the need to lash out in post.
We all have questions, in my world, no question, is a dumb question.
I have been using the resolve daily for over 5 years. I continue to learn every single day.I use pre conform daily, both the source tc and timeline time code are preserved, C mode does work if the edl is managed properly.

Pete if you like the resolve now, pair it with the intended panels. The wave is a toy in comparison.

One set of dpx frames was rendered via the resolve.. I can use the dirt tool on these frames.
I have another set that was made with the resolve using convert format.
Both are in the same session and same timeline.Permissions seem to be ok. Both sets of files are on the same storage.

I tested again this morning.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not..Yes I select the dirt icon on the viewer page or color page, changing the parameters doesnt do anything.
When I click on the screen to draw the box I get the following message. “refreshing screen.”
Dpx frames were created by the resolve. I can put two sets of dpx frame in the same time line. One I can clean the other I cannot..NOTE: The comments above are strictly mine, and may not necessarily

Thanks Dwayne. I have one more. Sometime the dirt tool doesnt work. Unable to draw the box. I must be missing a step?

I spoke to Dan yesterday and he agrees this should be fixed. Replacing the source dpx from a back up is how I fixed the issue. a simple undo would be great. Or perhapes commet the fix to the render. The lustre creates a original folder and saves them.

The client requested prores 4444 for vfx comps. Not sure how “supported” it is but it worked for 5 episodes. I wanted to send dpx but didnt fight the request due to smaller size file.

I get the error when rendering 4k red to 4k 4444 qt.. I add Rohits bug and it works.

I play with settings an add back into the media pool after each change. After several combinations i get everything linked. I’ve done two features and several shorts with edls from final cut pro..
