Try right clicking next to your node tree, click apply alpha. Then draw the node to the lower box that just appeared.

February 8, 2011 at 7:23 pm in reply to: Attn BM: business model proposal for new featuresI would rather have one track and not deal with the mess sent over by the editors.
Leaving the online to a real conform tool and the editors.. I’m not an editor but find myself doing a lot of editorial tasks.. When forced to deal with editorial tasks, i charge more..
Huge amount of time spent sorting everything out when left uncleaned.
Or, I get the offline editor to prep the time line per my request. I do it all the time, and it never seems to be an issue. Now that being said, if black magic give us the feature, I will use it. But I don’t feel its a deal breaker.

My preference would be to crunch them into dpx frames..

This is for scaling from 0-1023 to 64-940. not to legalize.
It never affects the render just the video output for layoffs to tape. Not a good idea to change mid project.

My opinions are based on going back and forth between the Davinci panels and the wave daily.
Once proficient using the real thing, I think you will realize why.Don’t get me wrong, the wave does work. I’ve spent hundreds of hours, finishing several projects with it. If someone didn’t give me one, I would have purchased it.
I’m just saying, the tools as they were designed, work far better.
Asking black magic to perfect the wave to compete against the real thing is not in their best interest.
I recall a comment early on that they would not be making the wave customizable.
Now if they do it, would is use it? Most certainly. 🙂Thrilled with the latest wave updates and hope for more functionality in the future.
I am not paid or employed by black magic in any way.

I did some more testing this morning.
I think i found the issue. The conversion did a dpx 16bit from a quicktime pro res 4444 16 bit file.
The render was a 10 bit dpx.Could it be the resolve doesn’t like to clean 16 bit dpx frames..
Dwaine I have examples for you. What address should I send them to.
