I’d ask for an i5 or i7, preferably 2 7200 drives, 8 gig ram and NVidea video card. Also make sure if has a firewire port. they’re getting hard to find in a laptop now days.

If your camera has manual white balance, manually set it with a pure white object, like a poster board, in the environment and lighting that your shooting in. This way your colors won’t change on you like they did. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

(I have been working on a project and everything was going well until I added 5 more clips to the timeline.)
It sounds like Vegas has a problem with one or more of the last five clips you added. Try removing them and open each in a new Vegas project to see which one(s) are causing the problem.

Windows media encoder (free) can stream high quality video, where someone can open the URL with Media player and use the IP address of the source computer and see it great.
We did this with Jimmy Buffet playing at an arena and streamed the video to all his resturaunts.
It’s not remote controllable so if your not there to start and stop the stream, set the source machine to stream looped.
I’m sure there’s a way to stream video from a home based computer via a website though. Hope this helps, Danny Hays -
On your numaric keypad, with num lock on, 9 will step ahead on the timeline event by event where 7 will do the reverse. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

There’s a website that gives you 50 gig of free storage, and after you upload a video, you can set it as share. Then you can email anyone a link to download it.

I haven’t seen a way to save and copy certain types fo presets like those and project properties presets, so I just save then as pics. Highlight a preset window you want to save, hold the alt key and press the print screen key. This saves it to your clipboard. Open paint and save as jpeg. I make one Vegas preset folder with sub folders with the name and type of presets they are. Copy he whole folder to you new computer and re-make these presets based on the pics. It’s not as fast and easy of the other way I described but it works until I find a way that is similar. Vegas makes a free preset manager but it only works on effect chains.

Most of the negative post for the Intensity Shuttle are due to not having an X58 or P55 chip set and the express slot not having the bandwidth to handle the USB 3 card speed needed for the shuttle.
I don’t understand why you want a MB without these chipsets, has a recall due to the Sandybridges processor and doesn’t have any USB 3 ports. You could be the first to try one and let us know if it works though.
