Whats the properties of the video you’re captured clips? xbox boxes can be in 1080p60? use Gspot to determine the capturd file format.

Brandon, A little time masking? Rotoscoping, i don’t have the paitence to do that. I’m a big greenscreen fanatic though. I won a national greenscreen contest by CMT a few years ago. No masking, just keying, obviously not with Vegas’s keyer. I wish Sony would let Keylight or Ultra key in as 3rd party pluggins. Here’s some links to that video. If your target is for youtube, I would shoot in progressive mode and avoid the interlacing. Youtube re-encodes everything any so the best quality you can send that fits within the file size and length limits should geet you the best results. I shoot 1080p60 with my TM700s and choose one of the high bitrate MP4 internet presets for youtube. I have to make custom project settings to work with the 60p.

I’m curious how you did this where one clone walks in front of another without chromakeying. Good job.

I have never seen a computer yet that can playback an uncompressed HD AVI in real time. This format is usually used as a lossless format for editing, just as you are, but it’s not suitable for realtime playback.

If you want to place several keyed clips in one movie, I save as AVI, Default template uncompressed, custom and check render alpha channel. Then after putting these clips back on the timeline top trcks, right click on each, propoerties, media, alpha channel,and select straight (unmatted) to make Vegas see the alpha channel. then crop with event pan and crop, resize and position each with track motion. If you make the video track taller, you will see a video effects icon on each event as well.

Select render as “AVI” and uncompressed is one of the AVI type presets to choose from.
