November 11, 2011 at 9:52 pmI’m curious how you did this where one clone walks in front of another without chromakeying. Good job.

November 11, 2011 at 9:55 pmI had to mask around myself for every frame as I passed over my other self in the background. It was a little time consuming lol. Thank you though.

November 12, 2011 at 10:53 pmI did a clone shot a couple of years ago, for a music video (local radio station contest). Just one clone, and I didn’t have the time (or stones) to attempt those crossovers… very cool. My main issue was shooting it outdoors — I had to worry about wind and changes in light. So it was tricky editing.
Also, very time constrained… I hadn’t actually finished the song when I had to shoot the video. Made it with a few minutes to spare!
See here (clone comes in around 0:57):

November 13, 2011 at 12:18 amBrandon, A little time masking? Rotoscoping, i don’t have the paitence to do that. I’m a big greenscreen fanatic though. I won a national greenscreen contest by CMT a few years ago. No masking, just keying, obviously not with Vegas’s keyer. I wish Sony would let Keylight or Ultra key in as 3rd party pluggins. Here’s some links to that video. Great job on your videos Brandon and Dave.

November 13, 2011 at 6:28 pmThank you both for your inputs. I’m glad you both liked it. It was only my second video I’ve made with Sony Vegas and I’m still trying to get familiar with the program. I liked both of your videos, they were made really well! I want to start using a green screen but I have no idea how too!
