What are the render settings for my Sony CX560 / 700 camcorder?
Pretty new with Vegas, tried lots of the preset render profiles but always seem to get a motion blur on the finished file. I shoot at 60i either 17mbs or 24mbs. Primarily I post on Youtube. Should I render to 30p? Enable re sampling in the file?
Don’t laugh, I’m new and lost, but eager to learn.
Advice appreciated.

If your target is for youtube, I would shoot in progressive mode and avoid the interlacing. Youtube re-encodes everything any so the best quality you can send that fits within the file size and length limits should geet you the best results. I shoot 1080p60 with my TM700s and choose one of the high bitrate MP4 internet presets for youtube. I have to make custom project settings to work with the 60p.

Thanks for responding. I’ve been fighting the darn interlace “ghosting” crap pulling my hair out. I have the Sony CX700 and Panasonic TM90 that both can shoot 60p. Just did a quick 60p clip with my TM90 and rendered with Vegas at 30p.

Is it possible to render 60i to something that looks respectable on youtube?

I have found 1080i or p videos sent to youtube don’t play smooth. 720p looks almost as good but plays smooth, just like your video does. Try 720 30p

I meant your video won’t play smooth at 1080 on youtube. I would try uploading a 720 internet preset.
