I recently got a HD PVR to record gameplay from my Xbox 360, I have tried the MP4 files in vegas but the preview window is zoomed to the top left of the screen, I have also tried the TS and M2TS file, the M2TS file freeze vegas and when I put the TS file in, it automatically comes with vegas pro has stopped working, I am using Vegas Pro 9 btw. I would really appreciate help on this one.

I think you probably gonna have to upgrade to a latest version
of Vegas, which should handle all that you are now doing just fine
    and without errors.

Whats the properties of the video you’re captured clips? xbox boxes can be in 1080p60? use Gspot to determine the capturd file format.

I recorded the files in 720p and I heard its the better size to record, the file size is 1280×720 with 59frames/s. When i go to match media files in vegas with the files, nothing changes.

It has to be something with the HD PVR files, as I can import any of those file types. Can you capture to another format with your HD PVR?
Maybe try using Streamclip to convert them to something Vegas likes.

    It’s free.

When I try and add files to MPEG Streamclip it instantly stops working. I have download VLC media player and the files are zoomed in on the MP4, not on the TS or M2TS. When I uploaded the MP4 file directly to youtube it wasn’t zoomed in.
