I have never gotten FCP to do this though. I hate FCP. It’s a Dinosaur!

I can open a Vegas project, set to 59.94 progressive interlace method, none. And zoom in and see 60 different perfect pictures per second. Now the timeline counter shows 30 but I get two different frames for each frame increment. Defiantly 1080 60p. just watch it straight from the HDMI out of the camera with some fast moving footage and you can see it clear as day.

I have a 60p clip of a wakeboarder. I’ll check it out whem i get home and see if it’s doubling frames. I sought it is because it is buttery smooth.

John, The reason I mentioned CRTs is because the phosphorus on the inside doesn’t dim fast enough to see interlacing. I don’t know much about television, DVD or Blu-ray specs. I just hate visible interlaced video. I rarely watch DVD or Blu-ray. I pretty much use computers or video servers as my source. If I send interlaced video to my led or lcd tvs, I definitely see it.

I think you can open 10 and 12 , copy all the tracks from 10 to 12. I don’t know if all the effects will work. Give it a try.

Why do people use interlaced anymore? Do you still have a CRT TV in your house?

Vegas, After Effects And Premier can edit 1080 60p from a Tm700. I have one and the 3D 750 I think the model is. They both absolutely capture 60 progressive frames per second. These programs can edit and render 1080 60p with custom project and render presets at that frame rate. The camera and these programs show 60progressive frames per second. You need an I7 or you will show stuttering.

Hmm, The only other place you can do this is the effect icon top of the preview window. That adds the effect to all the video in the project. Have you looked in the other events on track 4 to see if it’s there as well? Try dragging an event to track 1 and see if it has the effect. Vegas 11 has been buggy and I’ve never used it due to that. You could always try opening another instance of Vegas and selecting all events and copying them to the new instance.
