You want progressive when chromakeying. Key filters have a hard time with fast moving subjects in interlaced video. If your camera can shoot in progressive I would do so.

You have to be using some sort of audio device to record audio unless your using a virtual audio cable to record from one program to another. Go to your Windows control panel and click on the speaker icon that says sounds and audio devices. What is listed for your default recording and playback? Are you using a USB or firewire audio device? The reason I said onboard sound card is some of their mixers give you the option to record “What you hear” instead on your line in, which is what your supposed to use. What are you recording and where do you have it plugged into your computer? Danny

Are you using a on board sound card? If so those settings may be set to “What you hear”. If so, change to line in. Hope this helps, Danny

Yes. Place one video over the other so you have two video tracks. Then right click on the top track header, left side and add velocity envelope. You’ll see a blue line over the video I’m the time line which means transparency level, line at the top, not transparent. Line at bottom, fully transparent. Double click on the line to add points and drag the line down for the times you want the bottom track to show. Hop this helps. Danny Hays

Two DVD players and three computers? I would think the disc is bad.

If you didn;t get Architect, you can use other DVD burning software like Roxio and Nero. If your computer came with a DVD burner, it probably came with some sort of DVD burning software. You don’t have to use DVDA. You will have to render the video to DVD compliant mpeg-2 first with Vegas.

Are they all in one video or seperate and not in the order they were recorded?

I’ve tried many noise filter plugins and still have not found any that work better than, don’t laugh! Cool Edit 1. As long as you have a fairly long sample of just the noise, a few seconds minimum, and the noise is constant like hiss and hum as described, it works better that all the plugins I’ve tried.

It’s not a plugin but a audio editor. Even if it’s a free trial, it’s worth a free shot. Danny -
White and black are not easy to key out as usualy there is a little white and black in the subject somewhere. So a mask can be used in those areas in combination with the chroma key filter. This can save you time by not having to mask every frame where the subject has moved. Hope this helps, Danny
