I had a similar issue. 720 timelines played out to my Panny monitor using 720 8 bit 59.94 settings would drift out of sync. I found the workaround to be turning off the option to mirror on the desktop. 1080i 29.97 timelines playback fine mirrored to the desktop, but not 720

I have a HD250 with a similar viewfinder problem. Mine shifts towards magenta and sometimes loses sync entirely. I had the camera in for repair (tape path problem) and asked the repair person to look at the viewfinder issue.

He reported back that there was a service bulletin on it and the cable needed to be replaced. It would have cost around $200 but the cable was back-ordered a month so I’ve decided to work around it.

Changing gamma correction from automatic to none makes the level shift worse.

There is a piece of software that you can download for a 15 day free trial that does a bunch of stuff including interpret crash reports. https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_maintenance.htm

I’ll double check with the guy doing most of the work with the sequence but to my knowledge there are no freeze frames in the sequence
