If you want to stick the text to the car, then you either have to track the car, or something that moves in the same way as the car. If the car is static and the camera moves, you could track an object that’s close to the car and the same relative distance from the camera.

Also, some filters make substantial use of the GPU, Boris Continuum Complete for example.
Always check graphic card and driver compatibility before using the OpenGL features in After Effects.

You could probably do it with the luma key in Final Cut. But save yourself the hassle and just do it in Photoshop and bring that over.
You won’t have to keep rendering when something changes, and you already know how to do it in Photoshop!

In the Layer Switches, turn the Quality to Draft. This will turn off the anti-aliasing and subpixel positioning that’s giving you the problem.

Hi Andrew,
Using that preset will be fine for a graphic presentation.
If you’re playing it back from a standard def DVD player then your final format will always have to be PAL (720×576) with the optional 16:9 PAR flag. When you encode to MPEG2 for DVD your encoder will squeeze it to the right format (as long as you pick the right options, of course!)

A 5% slo-mo from any source footage is a big thing to ask. As Ben R said, you’re creating 95% of the movie from nothing. There are some very smart alogrithms at work in Twixtor and other optical flow slo-mo filters, but they don’t have a great deal of information to work with at 5% speed.
There’s tweaking you can do to the filters, which can reduce some of the effect, but I wouldn’t think it would be good enough.
If you’re after that super-crisp super-slo-mo effect you have to shoot at higher frame rates. The Red One, for example, can shoot up to 120fps. That will give you a bit more lattitude in post.

I think I understand what you’re trying to achieve.
Instead of using an adjustment layer, you want to use a track matte instead. Have a solid with you mask applied, then set your sheen layer to use the alpha as a track matte.
Have you looked at just applying a Generate > CC Light Sweep to your logo? Might do what you’re after with less hassle.

I was looking at the wrong problem apparently! :o)
The other Ben was completely right when he said that 5% is an extreme amount of speed change. You’re trying to get the equivalent of shooting about 500fps just using software. With the best will in the world, that’s not going to happen.

It looks like it’s picking up the black edges from your source video. Try scaling the footage up a small amount, pre-composing the layer and then applying your Twixtor effect.
Remember to check off “Move all Attributes to the New Composition” when precomping.
