After a few exchanges with Smith Micro, I had it worked. The main problem is where you put your files. If you use InterPoser Pro it’s a lot easier,

It should be the same with Net Render and Team Render.

Getting a bit of information from Smith Micro and the help of another user, we finally managed to have it work.

The main problem was with the Shared folder. Doesn’t seem to work. But using a Shared drive it did.
Any comment is welcome 🙂

Got an answer from Maxon and Smith Micro
1. Maxon : It should work
2. Smith Micro : Not supported but may work if you do this and this. Poser should not be activated on the outside computer. Did everything.
Still only the native C4D objects are rendered on the outside computer. Not the Poser objects. On the server (local) computer C4D and Poser objects are
rendered.Team Render (R15) and Net Render (R11.5) give the same results (problem).
I’m out of ideas. Anyone ?

Update : After trying various combinations the C4D on the remote computer doesn’t crash any more. But it doesn’t render the Poser object. Only the C4D native objects. I’m sure my settings are OK as I tried to import Poser object with InterposerPro and it works fine. I send emails to Maxon and SmithMicro. Waiting for their answer.

Did you get an answer? Because I have the same problem. It renders on the Server Client. But on the client of the outside computer the PowerFusion Object is not render, but the Native C4D objects are. I’m on C4D R11.5. Team Render doesn’t seem to work either with PowerFusion Objects on R15. It crashes the C4D on the external computer with a Crash logMac Mini, OSX 10.9.1, Vue 8 xStream, modo 401, C4D 15

I forgot to write my question. Is Poser Fusion supported in Team render? And a Happy New Year 🙂

The following sampling rates are supported for sound files (at least in R11)
11, 22 and 44 kHz at 8-bit and 16-bit
WAV Import
Only uncompressed WAV files are supported.
Markers included in the WAV files are imported into CINEMA 4D.AIFF-Import

It works. I mean volume caustics works. Instead of trying to find a tutorial , I went with trials & errors.
In this picture the light ( a parallel spot on the left of the picture) is shooting into the lens ( a sphere flatten setting the size z=0.1 and made it editable). Visible light must be set to volumetric ( I may have a problem there as I use inverse volumetric). You can vary the focal distance different ways : curve of the lens (playing with the z size) or the refraction index. Here you can see a bit of reflection coming back from the second surface of the lens. If you don’t want that just uncheck exit reflections in your lens’ transparency material.
Note: z is the axe of my light beam
If you want to try it, here is the .c4d file (R11.5)

I’ve found a few animations on YouTube using caustics with C4D. Umh .. The example I followed was maybe not appropriate. I’ll spent the day digging further. Any simple tutorial on caustics with refraction, not reflection?
