In this case I would edit in 60i.
24p will look fine for you with interview footage.

The proper way would be to send off a tape master for a HD foreign conversion.
But if you are only going to use what you have, try exporting to 1080/25p when making the mpeg file.
I recently received a 108025p PAL clip. Converted it to 24p and it did the job. But you run the risk of speed change/pitch shift and lipsync issues, depending on what you’re working with.

Those presets are for work styles and screen setup. Import your footage and drop a clip on the “Make a sequence icon” on the bottom of the project. It’ll match the clip for you.

After you apply the trans. go in and move your motion keyframes all the way to the end of clip.

Encoding with Compressor will likely yield better results then Toast.
