  • Need advise on a HDTV for Viewing Video

I am looking for a new HDTV.

I am editing with Premiere CS6 and I currently have a 5 year old 42inch Panasonic LCD TV hooked up to a Kona 3 card out of my MacPro.

I am looking to retire the Panasonic LCD TV and getting a HDTV for viewing the video.

I would like to have one where I can calibrate it to get it as close as I can to what the video is going to look like – I know all TVs are going to show the video differently, I just need a good place to start.

I would like to keep it at 42inch

Can you recommend a good HDTV for viewing? What are you using?

Thanks so much for your time and recommendations!

Broadcast monitors made for post production, that is what you use.
If those are out of your budget then you start looking at consumer gear.

Sharp HDTV, you know sharp screen is great, or sony, which is my favor.

Thanks for your reply. Can you recommend a broadcast monitor and a good consumer TV monitor.

Is there anything in the consumer line that you can calibrate to color bars from your computer?

    Thanks!
